Very shortly they will launch The Colheita. 2000, Other Ports, 10 years, 20 years and 30 years are in the near future. For the table wines, the owners market a standard Red and White Douro, and a Reserva Red wine. All with the own “Fam Label”. The owners plan to launch a second label for more current wines but not under the “Farm label”. In order to maximize the infrastructure and return, the owners have allocated a portion of the warehouse to store and produce Vinegar. At present they have 60.000 litres stored. The production, bottling and marketing is under review pending time, personnel and investment capacity from the owner. THE PROPERTY – THE PRODUCTION - TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Buildings and outbuildings The Offices are located in the Douro region. 300 square meters of administrative office adjoining a 1800 square meters warehouse for the storage of finished product, cases, labels etc. All situated on 17.000 square meters of a parcel of land. Technical details and equipments: Farm 1: Main site for vinification, storage and bottling The old "Adega" has been totally renovated and expanded along the same architectural lines. Total area under the roof is abt 2400 square meters. -Purification section: -5 x 9500 kg horizontal stainless steel, latest technology vinificators, hot and cold temperature controls. -1x10.000 kg mechanical lagar,cold temperature control. -3x10,000 Its stainless steel tank hot and cold temperature controls. - 3x 5,000 Its stainless steel tanks hot and cold temperature controls Modern Section: The capacity of the modern section vinification is 50.000kg per cycle For Red wines and up to 50.000 kg for White wines.The cycle period depends on the style of Port and Wines required. The average cycle is 6 days. Old Lagares section: The old granite Lagares section is still operational, equipped with cold Temperature control. Capacity of each cycle is 50.000 kg,in a typical season we can turn them 2-3 times depending on the style of Wine and Port needed. We are contemplating to further mechanize the Lagares by installing Robots to facilitate the wine making process, Capacity per cycle : 100.000 kg for Red Grapes and 50.000 kg for White Grape All the vinification section is serviced by an automated system of temperature control, hot and cold, a 10.000 kg automated pneumatic press and a 5.000 kg /hr destemmer for receipt of Raw material (grapes). All peripheral accessories for use during the initial phase of fermentation. S02 dosing unit, pumps, hoses, stems removals, grape mass removal etc. All automated units. Two water wells service the Adega. The wells produce about 5000 liters /hr. Intermediate storage facility: After fermentation, the Wines or Ports are stored in a separate area for further fining -6 x 22.000 liters stainless steel tanks,no temperature control -2 x 12,500 liters stainless steel tanks, no temperature control -1 x 5.000 liters stainless steel tank, no temperature control -3 x 15.000 liters stainless steel tanks, temperature control -1 x 2.000 floating roof stainless steel tank, no temperature control All the tank in the vinification area can also double up as storage capacity after fermentation -9 storage tanks for a total of 90.000 litres are serviced by an automated Nitrogen injection system The rest are handled manually with Argon. 1 x Sand filter 5,000 litres / hour capacity, one pressure filter with 40 plates, and usual support equipment. Bottling Line: -Latest technology bottling line, 1.500 bottles/hr capacity, pre-rinsing inside of the bottles with S02 solution, vacuum system.
