The Lisbon Coast line (Costa de Lisboa) is often referred as the “Portuguese Riviera” – and includes some of the chicest seaside resorts in Portugal.  This is a cosmopolitan area with a long tradition of warm hospitality.  Since the 1920s, it has been a favored haunt of Europe’s aristocracy and royal families (many of the exiled or deposed have made this their home) – and in the 21^st century, it is now a hot spot for major international personalities from the world of fashion, sport and entertainment.
